Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) has been a cornerstone of youth development in the city since 1891. Serving children and teens ages 6–18, BGCSF reaches more than 17,000 youth annually through its network of Clubhouses, school-based programs, and summer camps. On any given day, over 1,400 young people walk through their doors to access safe spaces, trusted mentors, and opportunities that help shape their futures. The organization’s work is built around four key pillars—Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character & Community Engagement, and Job Readiness—ensuring every child has the support, structure, and skills to thrive.

BGCSF plays a critical role in supporting San Francisco’s youth, particularly those facing economic and social challenges. The majority of Club members come from low- to moderate-income households, and many rely on the Club for daily meals, after-school programs, and guidance from caring adults. These supports create not only academic progress but also a sense of belonging and stability for thousands of young people across the city.

In 2025, BABF awarded BGCSF a one-time $10,000 grant to support its youth enrichment and academic programs. This investment reflects BABF’s mission to uplift underserved youth by backing organizations that provide essential, community-rooted programming. By supporting BGCSF, BABF is helping ensure that more young people in San Francisco have the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to build bright futures.
